Usually monthly rent payment for an apartment is considerably lower than the monthly mortgage on a home. Therefore renting an apartment for the sole purpose of saving money has great value. The maintenance cost of a rent property is considerably low for you or even no maintenance required, because its all back to the landlord. You may be responsible for small items such as changing light bulbs and thats it. The bigger and more expensive repairs are typically handled by the maintenance staff or the landlord.
Another advantage to rent an apartment is the amenities offered to you as the residence. You might use the pool, an exercise room and meeting spaces. In most cases you can use these amenities for free. On the other side if you buy your own property, you might not be able to purchase such amenities like a pool, fully equipped exercise room and a home theater.
