Recently Google Adsense expand their referral product choices. This changes in my opinion indicates that Google will adopted CPA (Cost-Per-Action) referral model wider on their ads network. This model ensures higher conversion rate for the advertiser however CPA in short period will slightly reduce publisher revenue which mainly gain their revenue from CPC (Cost-Per-Click) referral.
Google adsense also highlighted several advantages of Referrals 2 program. Starting from Expanded product inventory, Category and keyword targeting, Ad unit optimization, Better targeting for pages with multiple themes , Greater compensation for high-quality traffic up to Add your seal of approval.
