The Power of Giving
9 February 2007There is a golden rule of live - Give and you will receive - Give more and you will receive even more . That sounds contradicting, how can I give something and I can be sure that I will receive it back ? But definitely that’s the way of our life works.
I will take our Blogging activities as example. Publishing a Blog is a way of sharing information to the reader, it’ like giving to community. If you counts of how much efforts you did to publish a good Blog, you’ll be surprised on it’s number, because maybe you have to make small research before writing on your Blog or maybe you have to pay for your Web Hosting or even you have used some of your free time just for writing and that’s all has it’s price. But many Blog publisher doesn’t care about it, they keep on Blogging because they believe that every actions they did bearing more benefits for their self. The power of giving has inspired Blogger
Can I Give you links?
Links or back-links in Blogging worlds is like Gold for us, it’s precious and very important to promote our Blog. If you publish Blog without placing your URL on another Web or Blog, nobody knows about your Blog. Therefore a new Blog publisher sometimes struggling to place their Blog’s URL on many Websites by any possible ways just to announce of their new Blog. Some people use link sharing, another use forums and also writes comment on many Blogs in order to increase their URL’s link. If you placed your link on a High ranked websites, peoples could easily identify your new Blog. Therefore the higher rank of website you have - the more precious a link on your web to be.
What a pity, if somebody trying to put his or her URL link on another Blog by writing comments but he doesn’t realized that his link is not going to be indexed by search engine. As a matter of fact, Wordpress engine like I use here has put No Follow as default setting for comments to stop search engine accessing it, Cosa Aranda explains about it in his Blog therefore by default setting - many comments in Wordpress’ powered Blogs were not indexed by Search Engine.
Inspired by the Power of Giving, even though this Blog’s rank is still low I open it to place your back link. It’s just as easy as giving your comment and don’t forget to write your URL. I have opened comments for search engine to index it by activating plugin DoFollow in this Blog. I believe this gift for you also bearing more benefit for me as well.

Semula saya juga berfikiran seperti itu… tapi melihat jumlah outbound link di Blog Indonesia yang sedemikian banyak dan sangat beragam topik, dia tetap aja PR 6. Memang sih reciprocal linknya juga di mana-mana. But anyway I can evaluate the results later. If it’s good I will continue and if bad I will change.
