Facts on our Food related Issues

1. It takes 10 pounds (4.5 kilograms) of grain and between 2500 - 5000 gallons (9.500 - 19.000 liter) of water to produce 1 pound (0,5 Kg) beef.
2. By eating a 1/4 pound of beef, you are destroying 67 square feet (6.3 square meter) of rain forest
3. Every year approximately 1 million calves are tortured for sake of veal production
4. There are roughly 250 million hens in US egg factories that supplies 95% of the eggs in this country. The chicks are sorted at birth and newborn males are separated and suffocated in trash bag

What can we do now?

In my opinion, things I can do is starting from my self :

1. Not to waste food
2. Eats limited amounts of beef
3. Buying Bio or Organic-Products
4. Starts promoting this information to you
