Cyber Philanthropy

27 October 2008

Recently a global partnership between 700 of the worlds most important NGOs - charities like Save the Children, Red Cross, Amnesty International, OXFAM has created a new stake holder to manage fund raising for their project. Unlike a regular charity gathering we used to see, the network using internet and software technology to persuade people spending a part or their money for charity.

www.einegutesache.de is one of the software developer which they called it AidMaker. The idea was simple but clever because it combines online shopping with charity. After having downloaded AidMaker, you can support your favourite charity for free while you are shopping. You pay the normal store price for your product but the retailer donates part of the purchase to the cause you have decided to support. 75 percent of the total purchase price will then go to charity.

However, because a new user have to install a software into their computer and this software become additional layer between user and online merchant, some people may feel a bit suspicious with this software and what it will do to their personal information. When the software developer can guarantee this security factor, then perhaps more people will embrace this new cyber philanthropy network.

Review Samsung Rant

review samsung rant

We can read many reviews of Samsung rant published recently. Most of them writes that samsung rant has good enough quality for it’s price. From my personal view, I like the qwerty keyboard of Samsung rant but I’d love this mobile phone very much if it has larger screen. The tiny (compared to T-mobile G1 phone) LCD screen of Samsung rant simply doesn’t give us enough room to read.

Review about Bloggerwave

Bloggerwave review

Recently I’m convicted that paid review apparently hurts your Page ranks. This blog also has the same experience with paid review and apparently it’s PageRank submerged. I was joining payperpost a very popular pad review broker so that I could write many postings on this blog, even when the topic wasn’t even close with my daily thoughts.
