Premium Web Hosting VS Blogger Hosting

Many Blog publisher maintains their Blog on free Blog Hosting service like Blogger and any similar Blog services. I hosted several Blog on Blogger as well. But the possibility to customize My Blog in Blogger reached it’s top and I just can’t do further. Therefore I decided to use Premium Web Hosting for Daily-Thought Blog. Recently I found a nice article comparing Premium Blog Hosting, Blogger and Free Web Hosting Service for your Blog. Premium Web Hosting

Advantages

  1. Full control of your Hosting Server
  2. You can create Sub Domain Name on your Hosting (This may vary on each company)
  3. Supported with PHP and MySQL (may vary on different Hosting Service)
  4. With PHP support you can use many scripts to customize your Blog.
  5. Free of unwanted Ads on Blog pages

Disadvantages

  1. You have to pay for Hosting Services
  2. You need your private Domain Name, it adds more for registration cost
  3. You have to maintain your Blog Hosting Server
  4. Uploading Blogging software to your Hosting Server is a must before you publish Blog

Blogger

Advantages

  1. It cost you 0 cents
  2. No need to maintain Hosting Server
  3. Instant publishing and WYSIWYG

Disadvantages

  1. You only allowed to use Sub Domain Name of this Blog services
  2. Doesn’t fully support PHP and MySQL customization.
  3. Only support HTML codes which means you can’t add your own PHP script for your Ads for instance.
  4. Your Blog could anytime closed by it’s Provider.

There is one more type of Hosting service you can use for your Blog i.e. Free Hosting Server and here is some review of this service.

Free Hosting Server

Advantages

  1. Free of charges
  2. You can use your own Domain Name
  3. Sometimes it supports PHP and MySQL (Possibility may vary)
  4. You can add your own PHP scripts to customize your Blog

Disadvantages

  1. Your web could be closed in any time
  2. Someone could steal your Hosting
  3. Prepare yourself to find tons of Ads popping up from your Blog
  4. You simply don’t have full control of Hosting Server
  5. Uploading your Blogging Software of your choice
  6. Some provider restricts you to have your own Ads (to earn money from your Blog)
  7. Limited Bandwidth, so don’t expect more speed to load your Blog
  8. If you don’t have your own Domain Name, simply use their Sub Domain Name service
