A Short of SEO List You Can Add

Following my previous benchmark result on Google searching for keyword My Daily Thought, which was not impressive (you can read it on my previous post) I made several changes on this Blog’s code. I’m also make a little changes on my targeted keyword. It was My Daily Thought (without - s) but then I realized that I should add s on the word Thought, because many people using keyword thoughts instead of thought. So I decided to target this new keyword (with - s) for my SEO. If you interested with SEO you could follow this small hints too.

What you can do?

  1. Change your Web title to fit with your targeted keyword. For this Blog I have deleted the sub title to maximize keyword density. A very long sub title appeared previously because I was using sub title My Notebook, My Journal, My Finance ect. Those long sub title reduced the percentage of keyword density in my title, It was less than 60 %. Now after I got rid those sub title, my keyword density in web title is 100 %.
  2. Adjust your keyword density on headlines H2. Make your keyword appeared at least one time on your headline, but not over use it - over using may result on SERP penalty
  3. Adjust your keyword density on body text. Make it appeared around 3 % of your total body text - not over use this as well
  4. Always add IMG ALT= attributein your image. This small change will boost your SERP
  5. Share your full text feed. If you use Wordpress engine you can add Full Text Feed plugin, after that your feed will alway full text even when you add –more– / read the rest of this entry teaser which normally cuts your feed

And the result is…

Well, I checked my web site’s SERP position everyday though - and today on Google.com I can see my Blog URL appeared on first rank of 43 million pages by keyword My Daily Thoughts. I’m glad my first target is reached and I’m proud of it, yet I set another target for this Blog. I want this Blog to appear on first rank in Google by keyword Daily Thoughts, without My. Because in my opinion, my recent keyword is still too long for you. At the moment this Blog appeared on second page and rank 17th by keyword daily thoughts on Google. I’m also targeting this Blog to rank on Yahoo and MSN as well, because it is still very low on those two Search engine- almost nowhere I guess. Let See…
